Blurry vision

I woke up at 6.30am yesterday morning, feeling very fresh as I took 2 pain killers before sleep. I really had a good rest as it was raining in the middle of the night. Texted my friend in the morning while getting ready to go for my eye check at the hospital. Normally he is an early person but he reached sharp 7am due to the bad traffic and weather.

We had a lousy dim sum breakfast near SS2's Rothman's Roundabout (can't remember the name of the restaurant). The service was very slow and food was not tasty at all. The hot chinese tea tasted like pipe water ! Food was not ready by 7.30am (normally dim sum restaurants are ready by 4 or 5am) so we had to wait for approximately 15 minutes for our first dim sum to be served except for lo mai kai (Steamed Sticky Glutinous Rice with Chicken). Luckily we were still early for my appointment so we chatted while waiting for our food.

To my surprise, my friend planned to wait for me at the hospital. I told him the process will take about 3 hours but he insist to wait so I left him alone at the lobby with other patients. My appointment is at 9am. After all the eye exam and consultation, I paid my fees of RM100 at the lobby and proceed for lunch at Station 1, Jaya 1.

OMG, I can't see my food la !

The eye drops that they used to dilute my eye balls had side effects so they told me earlier I need transportation after the check up. Hence, I've asked help from this friend and he agreed without hesistating. True enough, my reading vision was very blur after that. I can't see near when I was wearing my glasses as if I had long-sighted. Well, I've got 老花 at the age of 29 @_@ (for few hours only la). The doctor told me that my reading vision will be blur until the drops wear off. It normally take about 6 hours but mine only was back to normal when I woke up this morning.

Headache again

I seriously need a head/brain massage now. The pain has been on and off since yesterday morning until now. I felt sleepy but can't sleep. I felt giddy but can't vomit. My eyes felt tired but can't see if I remove my glasses. I think I can smell my own perfume and it make me even more headache. I'm feeling very cold in the office while other colleagues are complaining that the office is too warm. My brain is froozen now. Once I get out from the office, I can feel the heat. Weather is unpredictable recently. That's the reason why I'm being so moody these 2 days. Not wanting to speak to anyone. I think I'm gonna get sick soon ! What should I do now ? Should I take pain killer ?

Li Xuan's 2 year old birthday

Today is my beloved niece's 2 year old birthday. We had an early birthday celebration for her last Friday. Her grandma (my auntie) prepared steamboat for dinner and bought a pandan sponge cake for this cute little birthday girl. Party joined by close family members from my mum's side. They are the best relatives I've had. At least they don't take advantage of my mum but take's good care of her when her children are not around.

I hope she will grow up to be a pretty, smart and intelligent girl !! Happy birthday girl ! ~~DOB : 28th March 2009~~

Qing Ming Festival

The chinese have to to pray to their departed ancestors at the cemetary once a year during Qing Ming Festival that falls on 三月初三 (according to the chinese lunar calender) - which means it falls on the 5th April this year. The ritual will be carried 10 days before and 10 days after the actual date.

Since daddy passed away in 2001, we normally visits him at the Sendayan Cemetary on any weekends, 10 days before the actual date. The place will be packed with people and cars as early as 5am. They will bring food, paper luxury items and hell notes to burn to the deceased. Parking will be a problem but luckily there are some volunteers who help to ease the traffic issues. Normally, we will leave our home as early as 5.45am so that the prayers will end before sunrise.

When grandpa (daddy's father) passed away in 2008, we have to visit the graveyard together with all the uncles (daddy's brothers). We need to pray ah kong first then daddy to respect the older deceased. Thanks to some of the uncles as we get Vitamin D at daddy's graveyard every year. I don't understand why they can't wake up earlier as planned. It's a yearly event, one only need to wake up as early as 5am once a year. Why make other people wait since there are 2 graveyards to pray ? Isn't it not fair for us as we have to clean daddy's under the hot sun ? Some uncles even don't care about the festival and never turn up to pay respect to their own father. Hence, everything to be arranged by mummy. Poor lady have to do all the buying and packing for 2 deceased. Some uncles are kind enough to appreciate what mummy did but some don't even bother to say thank you and don't want to pay all the expenses. I really hate these selfish people who takes advantage on mummy !!

Nasi Lemak Sotong for breakfast

My breakfast for the day. No picture available.

Sam wanted to buy me nasi lemak bungkus this morning but I've rejected. Bought a loaf of Gardenia bread and wanted to eat it with marjerin and cheese. Upon reaching office, there is a packet of nasi lemak sotong on my table. As usual, Jenny will buy extra food for office meeting and offer it to me. To my surprise, the whole packet is so wet and red ! I am not a spicy eater. Hence, this is really too spicy for me but since I'm very hungry, I finished all while reading the newspaper.

After effect : Red lips with watery nose. The feeling is so good and satisfying !

I don't mind this type of breakfast once a while but not everyday la. Don't want to grow sideways for nothing.

Headache

Am having slight headache since I came back from lunch. I didn't take heavy lunch and the weather outside was not too hot (maybe because I was feeling very cold in the office and in William's car). Tried to relax my eyes by removing my glasses but it's still the same. At the same time, I felt dizzy because of my blur vision without my specs. With or without vision, I'm feeling the pain. I think I need my bed now.

Suddenly, I realised there is an annoying sound from my colleague's cubicle. It's her fan ! Her old type of square table fan the doesn't help at all when it's placed at a very hot area. The sound has been there for some time. I stood up to complain to Yong and he agreed he had headache too. Without wasting any time, he walked to her cubicle and switched off the fan. To our surprise, another colleague mumbled 'Oh, that's better'. The owner asked 'Bising ke ? We said 'Yes' and continued our work.

Spectacles

Wearing spectacles is so torturing especially for people who has very high power like me. Yes, my power now is about -800 for each eyes. If I remove my glasses, I can only see blury vision. My blury vision has been following me for at least 20 years. The first time I wore glasses was in Standard 3 when I used to watch the TV as near as 3 feets from my eye level. I used to request to sit at the front row in my classroom until one fine day, my dad decided to bring me to the optometrist. Well, it started with -300 each.

I have been relying on contact lenses since Form 3. Never like wearing specs since then as I think I look ugly (with the choice of spec frames I have last time - really ugly man...haha) and felt it's so inconvenient when there is extra co-corricular activities at school. Hence, I can wear my contact lenses as long as I can in a day. From 8am class to yumcha session untill 6am the next day and class again at 8am till before I go to bed (during college time la). Hardly touches my specs.

Need to wear glasses for at least 2 weeks so that the eyeball can go back to normal before I do my Eye Examination next week. Today is my 8th day wearing specs and it's damn heavy till it hurts my nose, ears and giving me headache sometimes. I'd encountered problems like cannot see clearly, cannot walk nicely, cannot think properly, banging myself on the wall, knocking myself on anything, driving recklessly and many more during this 'spec wearing' period.

I have to bear with it for at least 4-6 weeks in order to complete my lasik surgery. By then, I will have perfect vision and don't need specs or contact lenses anymore. Yeah ! I will be happier then !

My hair

I still remember the last time I had my hair as short as just below the ears. It was 16 years ago before I enrolled in my secondary school. After my hair grew, I never cut short anymore. Never had the courage to do so. Maybe it's because I'm so comfortable with my long hair that I don't dare to try other hair styles. I've tried perming, colouring and rebonding but short is a NO to me. My barber (used to be my uncle when young time) never dares to trim too much of my hair or else I will start screaming. Please call me old-fashioned.

I am lucky to have a very understanding hubby that supports with my decisions most of the time unless I'm really in a wrong side. After dated him for about 2 years, I'd asked his opinion to cut my hair short. He allowed eventhough he is reluctant with the decision. My sister disagreed immediately as she suggested to cut after my wedding. Need it to style according to my wedding gowns. OK - I obliged.

2 weeks before CNY, I've made a tough decision to cut my hair short. I know cutting hair short is a small matter but I'm bringing it out so seriously because I've never cut short for the past 16 years and I'm afraid it doesn't look good on me. To my surprise, it suites my look and I liked it very much ! No regrets at all. I'm a happy girl now ! I felt so comfortable and confident with my look now. Received a call from a a high school friend just 45 minutes ago and he complimented my new hair style. He saw it on FB. He told me he likes girls with short hair and that is why his wife cut her hair short recently. @@

before

after

Jojo before and after. I'm gonna stick to this hair style until I get bored out of it. When will it be ? Another 16 years ?

Jojo is back !

I've used to own a blog for more then 2 years but was hacked last year, a month before my wedding. Not too sure who did it but out of fear, I've deleted the whole thing after recovering my gmail password. The hacker deleted all my 200+ posts and changed him/her as 1 of my blog's admin. Since I can't recover my posts and did not do any backups, I'd decided to end it. At the same time, I've deleted my Friendster account too. Changed passwords for my Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo and Facebook account - set privacy and keeping the minimum details, friend's list and pictures.

Was shocked and sad at that time as I've lost all my food posts, family and daddy's memories, wedding preparations and the records of my life with my current hubby when we were dating since 2007. Looks like I have lots to write but not very sure where to start from. Many of my friends/close relatives suggested me to create a new blog but I was too lazy as fear the same thing will happen again. Other reasons - I was busy with wedding preparations, wedding ceremony, honeymoon, company family day, work and CNY holidays. Hence, this blog was dragged till now. Some said I shoud write after my wedding ceremony in October last year while some said I should start fresh from year 2011. Anyway, it doesn't matter now.

I love blogging as I can write my thoughts (no matter bad or good thoughts) and read all over again during my free times. I also enjoy recording happiness, sharing it with everyone and release sadness rather than keeping it and be emo all the time. Hopefully, I can write more often in future and keep this blog active forever. BAD KARMA TO THE HACKER WHO HACKED MY BLOG LAST YEAR !! IF YOU DO BAD THINGS, BAD WILL EVENTUALLY FOLLOW YOU TOO.

I've retained my previous blog's title as I liked the name 'Jojo In Da House' very much but decided to change the URL link. Happy reading ya !
