Kaypo aunties

I just can't stop thinking of the two of YOU ! The mother and daughter who came to my house last weekend. They are my mother-in-law's friends who runs a mini market near one of the the housing area in PD.

OK, it happend like this. My mother-in-law was telling me that the mini market's owner's daughter (let's call her K as I don't know her name at all) is in her mid 30s and getting married in October this year. She is marrying to a rich man and will move to KL soon after that. K's mother attended my wedding last October and she mentioned that she likes one of the songs from my wedding videos.

Since my mother-in-law wants to get something from the mini market, she asked me to send her there and asked me to provide the song's name to K. After some chatting with her, K suggested that she comes over to my house after lunch on the same day so that she could listen to the song on my i-pod touch and get some advise on what to do before wedding. Damn it ! I should have brought my i-pod to the mini market and all these wouldn't happen. The story will just end like that, right ?!

Unfortunately, to my surprise, they speak like KAYPO AUNTIE from the KAMPUNG. Sorry to say that but I was not very happy with the comments they gave me regarding my pre-wedding and actual day wedding photos. My close relatives and friends do gave me some negative comments about my photos and I've accepted the fact as I know there is nothing perfect in this world. At least they say it out nicely and politely.

The mother and daughter just make me feel so regret for all the photos taken. It's actually the way they commented really makes me pissed off. At that time, I just felt like turning back time and hope I can do better and redo what I've missed out. What about taking another pre-wedding photo (this will be cost consuming right ?) or plan for another wedding (same groom or not ? haha...greedy me) ?

I will provide some examples of pictures and their comments that make me damn tulan till the max ! If I have any chance to see her pre-wedding photos (K will be taking her photos in a month time), I will sure give her harsh comments for her to terasa a bit. I doubt she is aware that she is not as young as me, not as slim as me, not as sweet as me and not as photogenic as me ! OK, you might think that I'm really beh paiseh for saying all these but the fact is always a fact ! :p

I agreed I looked fat in this outfit but I really like the gold dress
and the way the make up artist do my hair. This look is so ME !

Both mother and daughters were asking why I let my hair down ? Why I did not ask the make up artist to tie my hair up high ? The hair do is so ugly ! ^_^" WTF It's my hair la wei ! What a question ?? Furthermore, you just let the bridal shop's hair stylist and make up artist do everything for you la. Why want to interfere them when you don't even know how to do it professionally ? I bet even the professionals themself hire people to do it for their own weddings.

This is my favourite pre-wedding picture !

You know what did K said ? She said "Wahhh...your hubby looks really like an ah pek in this picture la." Paused a while then she repeated twice "Really ah pek la. Hahaha..." Looking at me while pointing at the picture "Really look like ah pek ho ? Why did you choose this picture at the first place ?" Again WTF ! It's just a pre-wedding photo. We normally don't dress up like this so what's the problem with wearing tradisional costume for picture and memory purpose ?

Thanks to my hair stylist, Jia Er
for doing the Olympic hair.

I know my front hair is not so
tidy as can see the hair clip
but I'm OK with it.
The reason why I did not give any opinions about my make up and hair do was because the hair stylist is my sister's college friend and she did it for free ! So what I did was to let her decide and accept with her choice. I don't like it at the first place too but I'm satisfied after viewing the pictures. Since K and her mother wants to see me with my hair tied up, both continued to condemn my look in this picture ! K said "Why you hair looked so weird one ? Back OK but front so weird la ! Mummy, you see. Weird right ?" Arghhh...what's wrong with both of you ? I just met you the first time and you gave me negative comments without thinking of my feelings and our relationship. You are just my mother-in-law's friends la !

OK, last example ba. Me very tired of complaining liao.

I think I looked simple and nice for the venue.

I like this outfit and look but she said I looked like an auntie ! Really arr ? *sad* *sad* *sad* *cry* *cry* *cry*

OMG, I didn't know this will be such a long post. I'm not happy because she gave me unnecessary comments despite we only met for the first time. How come all the kaypo aunties behave like this ? You have nothing better to say and do ar ? And I realised these people never look themselves in the mirror. Let's see who looks more auntie later. A lady in her mid 30s or a lady in her late 20s ? Haha...Bad karma is following me for all the complains ! But I don't care !

Working people

What would you do when you don't feel like working with people that you need to work with ?

1) You don't like the way he / she speaks to you
Speaking like a bossy person when they are not you boss at all. Some managers don't even speak like that. They are more humble than their subbordinates.

2) You don't like the way he / she advise you to do something
You are doing a favour to help to solve a problem but the person didn't give you ample time to check. Eg: Sent a request in the morning and follow up with phone calls and office communicator the whole morning. Investigation also needs time. Why rush only when customer lodged a complaint ? Why cannot be more considerate ?

3) You don't like it when he / she points at you before investigating who is at fault
The person will run to your cubicle and start asking many questions that looks like your fault to the issue that has been explained months ago. He / she did not read but deleted the email correspondence and rushed here and there for explanations. Ended up knowing that it's their own's fault. Then, start twisting around to cover themselves. Such idiots in a corporation. The most annoying thing is the facial expression of the person - he / she will look like he / she is lost and don't understand why the problem happened.

4) You don't like it when he / she asked you to do what a kindergarten kid also can do
This normally refers to your superior. He / she will do a template halfway and asks you to help to check the allignments and size, to make the template beautiful for other people to view. Arghhh...stupid stupid !

5) You don't like it when he / she gets nervous and bugs you to do it immediate
Some people just get so tensed with their job. Every request must be attended 'NOW'. Sometimes you could be doing something halfway and are requested to proceed with a new request immediately. These type of people are so into their job that they don't have time for themselves. Their job equals to their life. Companies do introduce Worklife Balance but it refuse to apply to all staffs. What a waste.

Too many 'DON'T LIKEs' will probably makes me look as if I'm a very fussy and calculative person. I've tried my best to be nice to these people but looks like I've failed in doing so. Once I'm being a little nice, they will try to climb on my head and be bossy again. So, I think I should remain as a bad person instead of a nice person. People will tend to be afraid and won't try their luck to be sacarstic. Sometimes, it's also a way to protect yourself from all the problematic people in the office.

Kajang Satay

Had to stay in BU for another day after the eye surgery as I needed to be at Optimax for my follow up check up the next day. After check up and dim sum brunch at SS2, we headed back to PD.

Half way through the journey, Matt suggested that we should try Kajang satay so he brought us to the famous one that his Kajang friend introduced - Restoran Malaysia Nyok Lan Kajang Satay (corner coffee shop). This was the first time I had satay in the day time, under the hot sun. Parking at this area was terrible and the street was a one-way street.

Mi pretending to enjoy her satay

Sam helping with my Coconut Water

Matt getting diabetes soon !
To much Coke he is consuming recently !

Me and my Hammer sunnies (Matt, I claim it as mine, ok :p)
- day one after my eye surgery

Chicken Satay - 60cts per stick

Since Kajang is popular with their satay, I assumed the satay meat should be bigger but it looks exactly the same with the ones in town. It looks healtier as there is no sign of meat being over cooked. The peanut sauce is sweet instead of spicy and the ketupat is prepared in the traditional way. Not like the plastic wrapped one that you can find in KL. Well, I'm not a spicy eater so I find the sauce just nice for me unlike mummy, she loves spicy so she would prefer if the sauce is spicier. They served in 5 different flavours - Chicken (as per picture), Beef, Mutton, Duck and Fish.

Different people has different taste buds so I leave it to you to rank the food.

Address : No 31, Jalan Semenyih, 43000, Kajang, Selangor
Contact no : 03 - 87331160
Business hours : 11.00am till midnight (Closes on Tuesdays)

Going back to PD from Kajang was a nightmare. The distance was very far and traffic was bad due to the amount of traffic lights along the old road.

Eyes was uncomfortable so I slept in the car on the way back to PD.

My Best Vision Ever !

Optimax Eye Specialist Centre

I'm still in a recovering process after my Lasik treatment three weeks ago. I was lucky as Sam & Matt was on a week holiday before they start their new job in May. Hence, I've got Sam as my driver, Matt as my servant and mummy as my companion. Left PD to TTDI early in the morning as I need to do my Eye Screening Test and Lasik on the same day. Was so excited !

the leng chai Dr Chuah
After all the eye testings, I was brought into a clinic with 4 more patients waiting patiently for Dr Chuah Kay Leong. He gave us some explanations on the process and few disciplinary warnings so that the surgery will run smoothly. Since my power is on the highest side, and the optometrist did not get my accurate power, he told me that he will adjust nearest to my spectacle's power and if in case I need to do enhancement, it will be FOC. Optimax will monitor my eyes until 3 to 6 months to confirm whether enhancement is needed or not. Was very nervous !

All-Laser-Lasik

He told me that I have no choice but to go for the Custom All-Laser-Lasik to create thinner flaps to save tissue. It is also 100% Blade Free. I don't think I will elaborate what happend in the surgery room but I can confirm that the process is very fast - 26 seconds for my right eye and 24 seconds for my left eyes.

As I've mentioned in my earlier post, the price for this particular surgery is RM 3,888 per eyes. Since I've paid a deposit of RM 100, I've managed to secure a promotion of RM 3,688 per eyes. If any of you out there would like to sign up, please do not feel shy to submit my name to enjoy the referral commission of RM 100 per eyes. Do drop me an email at jolene.ap@gmail.com or comment in this post so that I am aware of it ya.

This would be my BEST decision (apart from wearing braces) ever ! I did not regret spending for Lasik and doing it at Optimax as they have very good and professionals staffs around (from the receptionist to the optimetrist and to the doctor), unlike the ones from the eye hospital. I'm loving it everyday as I do not need to reach for my specs when I wake up in the morning, I do not need to remove my contact lenses eventhough I'm very tired before I go to sleep. The best was I get to see my alarm clock clearly when I open my eyes ! No regrets at all ! I felt super duper GREAT !
